Futurum Music è un progetto di progressive rock tedesco che sta nascendo in questo momento e ha da poco presentato il suo primo singolo.
Per promuovere l’album e presentare la band lungo il suo tour nelle terre teutoniche, mi è stato chiesto di creare una cover a partire dalle foto fatte nel backstage del video.
Le indicazioni erano che foto e sfondo richiamassero in qualche maniera il film Matrix, quindi ho cercato alcune immagini a tema futuristico che, una volta approvate dal cliente, ho rielaborato fondendole tra loro per creare una scena unica. I colori di base delle immagini, tutte variazioni del blu (che nella psicologia dei colori rappresenta l’elettricità, la comunicazione e più in generale il futuro) sono servite per fare un color grading anche sui componenti della band, ma non prima di averli ritoccati e ripuliti soprattutto dai pessimi riflessi verdi dovuti agli scatti fatto su fondo verde che è ottimo, quando è illuminato uniformemente, per il video, ma è un pessimo background per le foto.
Tocco finale, un effetto fluorescente su tutte le bande bianche degli abiti ed un alone blu su ogni modello per dare un’ulteriore sensazione di provenienza dal futuro. Del resto la band non ha scelto Futurum come nome a caso.

The mood of the postr had to remember the atmosphere of the Matrix Trilogy or similar futuristic movie. So I searched several themed images for the background that, once approved by the customer, I reworked fusing them together to create a unique scene.
After an hard color correction to remove the green cast on the original images (the subject photos were taken on a green becakground) I work on the color grading chossing the blue instead of Matrix's green beacuse in psychology of colors it represent theelectricity, communication and more generally the future.
Finishing touch was the fluorescent effect on all white bands of clothes and a blue halo on each model to give a further feeling of coming from the future.
